| Here's Tripe3, a 2.9" span half-scale version of my Tripe. I have flown this with the Leichty receiver and with the Plantraco 900 MHz receiver. I found it was very unstable with a 2"x1.5" prop. Not surprising when you think of it - would you put a 20" prop on a 30" wingspan plane? Reducing the prop to 1.25" made it much more stable, but then I had to go up to the 10 ohm 4mm pager to get enough power. Consequently it doesn't fly nearly as long as Bipe4, which uses the 28 ohm motor. I must try it with a better small prop design with a lower pitch. Looks really cool in the air.
